This product is for the digital files associated with the 1:10 Jimmy’s 4x4 Moonbuggy chassis build. You are not purchasing a physical chassis, printed parts, or any physical item. This download provides you with files and some instructions to construct your own chassis.

This bender is designed to give consistent bends when using 3/16in DOM steel tubing. This bender was specifically designed for 3/16in Steel DOM tubing with a .035" wall thickness, other materials may be possible but were not tested. This bender has a 1/2” bend radius.

Project IJ Rock Slider STL Pack
Design and Fabrication Files for Steel Rock Sliders
Take your Project IJ build from printed prototype to full metal fabrication.
This STL pack includes all the 3D-printable fixtures, templates, and jigs needed to build the Project IJ rock sliders when used in combination with the laser-cut steel parts available through SendCutSend.
What’s Included
STL files for:
Driver- and passenger-side fixture jigs to hold the tubes and plates during welding
Bend template to match the correct curvature of the 3/16" outer tube
What You’ll Need
To complete the full set of steel sliders, you’ll also need:
Laser-cut steel parts — available through SendCutSend (https://marketplace.sendcutsend.com/p/CF271003/project-ij-sliders)
3/16" diameter steel tube or rod
HD Tube Bender — the bend template and geometry are calibrated for my bender and will fit best when using it. (https://harleydesigns.com/store/hd-bender-for-316-tubing)
🔧 It’s highly recommended to use the HD Tube Bender to ensure correct alignment and fitment.
Assembly Overview
Bend your tube using the provided template and the HD Tube Bender.
Place the bent tube and laser-cut plates in the printed jigs.
Tack-weld the assembly together.
Final-weld, clean, and finish as desired.

3D-Printable Fixtures and Templates for Steel Fabrication
This product includes the 3D-printable jigs, fixtures, and templates required to fabricate the Project IJ front bumper, rear bumper, and front shock towers using laser-cut steel parts.
These files are part of the Project IJ fabrication system and are intended for builders who want to weld real steel components, not bolt on printed parts.
What’s Included

Front bumper welding fixtures
Rear bumper welding fixtures
Front shock tower alignment and welding jigs
Bend and placement templates where required
Left/right and front/rear–specific fixtures as needed

The bend templates and geometry were designed around the HD Tube Bender.
Using it will produce the best fit, symmetry, and repeatability.
How These Files Are Used
Print the fixtures from this STL package.
Bend tubing using the provided templates and the HD Tube Bender.
Place laser-cut plates and tubing into the printed jigs.
Tack-weld, then verify alignment
Remove from jigs
Clean up and finish weld

Welding is required to produce the final bumpers and shock towers.
